2016
Carina Brown received the 2015 Ministerial Award Winner by Western Cape Department of Arts & Culture for her contributions in the Arts Sector.
2017

• Bronze Award Winner at The Impumelelo Social Innovations Awards. Impumelelo is a leading awards programme in South Africa, rewarding excellence and innovators who find creative solutions to public & social cohesion problems.
• Carina Brown is nominated and shortlisted for a Cultural Award for Contribution to the Performing Art of Music by the Western Cape Government, Cultural Affairs & Sports Department.

2018
Won a Saldanha Bay Municipality Youth Community Award on April the 13th.

2020
Carina Brown, principal of the West Coast Music Academy and Director of the West Coast Youth Orchestra, receives the SASMT (The South African Society of Music Teachers) award for Excellence in Music Education in 2020. She was one of only six recipients to receive this prestigious award this year. The award goes to a person who has made an exceptional contribution to music tuition within his or her own community.
